Step 1: Traveling to the Washington Metropolitan Area
If you plan to fly to the conference, use either Dulles or Reagan National airports. Another possibility is to take Amtrak to Union Station.

Step 2: Traveling to Fairfax
From Dulles, you will need to take a taxi to Fairfax. From Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Union Station, you can use either a taxi or a combination of metro and buses, though the latter does take time. On the metro, take the Orange line to Vienna/Fairfax-GMU. For more information about traveling to the GMU-Fairfax campus, please click here.

Step 3: Traveling between hotels and campus
When driving the 3-4 miles between the conference hotels and the GMU Fairfax campus, it is best to use 620 (Braddock Road) and 665 (called Shirley Gate between Braddock Rd & Lee Hwy; called Waples Mill north of Lee Hwy). One can enter the Fair Oaks Courtyard parking lot directly from Waples Mill, just north of Fairfax Blvd. The Comfort Inn is on the north side of Main St (also called Fairfax Blvd.), one block east of Waples Mill.
