The School of Management at George Mason University is pleased to invite diversity teachers, trainers, researchers and executives to its 2nd annual conference exploring the latest research and best practices in diversity business education and training. The conference is scheduled for July 10-12, 2008 and will take place at the Hilton Arlington. Conference activities will feature a unique blend of workshops, small group discussions, and keynote presentations designed to meet the interests of these intersecting groups:

Professors who are designing or teaching academic courses on workplace diversity;

Executives who are designing or managing diversity programs in organizations;

Professionals who are providing diversity training in organizations; and

Academics and practitioners who are conducting research on the above issues.
Conference Goals and Topics
The central goal of the conference is to further collaborative initiatives
in diversity business education among executives, trainers, teachers, and
researchers. Priorities for the conference include:

To promote dialogue among teachers, trainers, and researchers about diversity training.

To help executives and trainers identify ways to optimize the impact of workplace diversity training on organizational, team, and individual performance.

To help teachers and trainers increase the impact of their educational efforts on student and trainee diversity-related knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors.
- To help researchers identify diversity teaching and training questions that merit research, and obtain access to research sites.
